Dr. Valdes is a seasoned Chiropractic Physician with extensive Post-Doctoral training in Functional Medicine and Clinical Nutrition. He has at this point been successful at helping over 5,000 patients suffering from different chronic conditions to find improvement and at times even resolution to many of their chronic ailments and symptoms. Dr Ruben Valdes DC is an active member of The Institute for Functional Medicine and is working in completing over 300 hours of Functional Medicine to obtain his Diplomate Status.
As a clinician Dr Valdes has received numerous awards for his work and the quality of the service he provides amongst them; the prestigious VOGT® Leadership award from Palmer College in Davenport, IA and also he is the recipient of a 5 Star Award from Integrity Management for the quality of care and patient satisfaction. Other awards include a CBP®(Outstanding Achievement Award) and having graduated with high honors from his doctorate degree.
Dr. Valdes has been involved in research looking at hormones like leptin and grhelin and the influence these have in fat storage in the body, he has also done undergraduate research at the Louis Pope Center from the University of Miami looking at traumatic brain injury.
In addition to being the Director of Admissions at Integrated Health Center of Miami, Dr Valdes is currently enrolled in Medical School (USAT Monserrat) where he hopes to soon complete his MD degree which would be his second doctorate.
Dr Valdes is a huge sports and performance aficionado, and it was this desire to help world class athletes dramatically improve their performance that eventually brought him to his unrelenting passion for health through Functional Medicine.
He practices Muay Thai and MMA on a regular basis and is very kin on Functional Nutrition and absolutely insists on practicing what he preaches.
